Hi,
I want to set up a transactional replication between 2 sqlserver2000
databases. And I just want to know when it is advisable to change the path
of the Snapshotfolder.
Thanks
Jeanette
basically you want to change the default snapshot share when
1) you are replication over the internet - in this case you should use the
alternate snapshot folder
2) you are running out of space on your drive
3) your subscribers are on a workgroup or untrusted domain, or they are not
running under an account which has local admin rights to the default
snapshot share (\\PublisherServerName\C$:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL
Server\MSSQL\ReplData\unc).
4) you want to place your snapshot files on a raid 1, 10,01,0 drive for
better read performance
